Key terminology for the MAIBOH adaptive training platform and artificial intelligence.
MAIBOH Local
Deterministic information retrieval mode. Every answer is pre-written, human-validated and immutable. Not an AI system under EU AI Act Art. 3.
MAIBOH Live AI
Optional generative AI mode. Adaptive trainer with memory, coaching, generative quizzes, voice. EU AI Act limited risk with Art. 50 transparency.
Coaching Mode
Prompt evaluation on customisable dimensions (clarity, specificity, context, structure) with 1-5 scoring and actionable suggestions.
MiniMaiboh
Embeddable conversational widget for any website, SCORM-compatible course, Articulate Storyline course, with LMS integration. Digital librarian for FAQ, on-field support, knowledge base.
LTI 1.3
Learning Tools Interoperability: standard for integrating learning tools into LMS platforms. MAIBOH supports LTI 1.3 with AGS grade passback.
SCORM 1.2
Shareable Content Object Reference Model: e-learning packaging standard. MAIBOH exports SCORM 1.2, certified on Oracle Learning Cloud HCM.
SSO (SAML / OIDC)
Single Sign-On: centralised authentication. MAIBOH supports SAML and OpenID Connect for enterprise identity provider integration.
Row Level Security (RLS)
Database row-level security. Ensures each user accesses only their own data. Implemented on every MAIBOH table.
EU AI Act (Reg. 2024/1689)
European AI regulation classifying AI systems by risk level. MAIBOH Local is not subject; MAIBOH Live AI is limited risk.
Circuit Breaker / RouteLLM
AI model failover mechanism. If one model fails, the system automatically switches to a backup, ensuring continuity.
PWA (Progressive Web App)
Installable web application. MAIBOH works as a native app from the home screen on iOS and Android.
White-label / Reskinning
Full visual customisation: themes, colours, fonts, trainer avatar, backgrounds. MAIBOH becomes the client's brand.
